A public invitation link is convenient, but it also reveals when your home may be empty and where a crowd of guests will gather. A few simple habits keep the convenience and lower the risk.
Share deliberately
- Send the link in private chats and groups rather than posting it on a public profile.
- If you post on social media, share a photo or teaser and offer the link by message.
- Give your invitation a title that does not combine your full legal names with the date.
Think about what is on the card
- List the venue, not your home address.
- If you include a gift QR code, show only what guests need to transfer, not account statements.
- Skip phone numbers on the card; guests can reply through RSVP or wishes.
After the wedding
- Thank guests and share a final photo or message.
- Hide or archive the invitation a few weeks later.
- Export or note anything you want to keep, such as wishes for a keepsake book.
Privacy does not have to mean secrecy. It just means deciding who sees what, and for how long.
