Building a digital invitation is closer to arranging a scrapbook page than designing a website. The trick is working in the right order so you are not redoing layouts after you add photos.
Before you open the editor
- Final names, date, start time and venue address.
- Five to fifteen photos, cropped roughly to portrait for phones.
- Your preferred wording (see our wording examples for ideas).
- Bank details for a gift QR code, if you plan to include one.
Build order that saves time
- Pick a template from the wedding collection that matches your color palette.
- Replace names, date and venue text first; these drive the layout.
- Swap the template photos for yours and adjust crops.
- Add the countdown, map and RSVP widgets.
- Choose background music and an opening effect last, once the content is settled.
- Preview on mobile, then publish.
Keep it phone-first
Almost every guest will open the invitation on a phone, usually from a chat app. Large tap targets, readable font sizes and photos that are not too wide matter more than fine typography details visible only on a laptop.
A quick quality check
- Can you read the date without zooming?
- Does the map open the correct venue entrance?
- Does the RSVP form submit and appear in your dashboard?
- Does the music start gently rather than at full volume?
When everything passes, publish the card, copy the link and send it to one trusted friend before sharing it widely.
